I chose Harper Lee as one of my authors to study due to the popularity of her classic novel that I was very keen to read entitled 'To Kill a Mockingbird'.
Also with the recent media attention on Lee recently publishing her second novel, fifty years after her first, I thought she may be a very topically interesting person to look into.
