Character Development, Storyboarding and Crit

Exploring characters in more depth about their personality and presence in order to be portrayed more clearly.

Practising storyboarding to get an idea of how many frames I will need- it may be better to use a light box though!

CRIT

Today hadn't been as productive as I'd hoped, although I presented my ideas and prospects to my group and they seemed to approve. They found my animating ideas funny and my characters interesting, which has motivated me to push myself to achieve the best I can.

Some advice from my group:

  • Simplify the movements of Man Boob Man- take it one step at a time as opposed to attempting to create complex movement sequences.
  • Test out different media- especially for Geoff the Gent- a tweed jacket using a variety of tools will look really interesting.
  • Have a go at moving backgrounds for Giraffe on a Bike, start simple. It will make things look more realistic.
